Welcome

Hi I’m Bill Weaver, founder and owner of Bill Weaver Photographers together with my wife Marsha and son Greg ( our videographer) we love helping people tell their stories. Whether your story tells  about your child’s first year, your relationship and wedding or your family we have a deeply held commitment to preserving  your story.

A note about this site...after several years using a Flash based site we decided to move everything over to a blog format. The format gives us a better chance to share our lives with our clients and potential clients and makes viewing our work easier and more personal. We have separate sections devoted to all of the different styles of photography that we do. Finally, since we are moving everything onto this format (until we get caught up) dates shown below each post reflect the day it was moved and not necessarily the date of the assignment. You can find them under the Category tabe in the menu bar above.

While we have lots of photographs here we also have an on line stock photo archieve that can be accessed by clicking on the Portfolio button on the menu bar.

Our Services

services

Weddings

Our services reflect our style and approach to our work, quite simply our services are designed around you and your style preferences. Since we value relationship over transaction, and collaboration over one sided direction we do not see ourselves as providers of one size fits all packages.

We have organized our services loosely ( emphasis on loosely) around the two style approaches that work well for families, weddings or other special events. They are:

Basic

AKA shoot ‘n burn - This option really is the basics and is the best value for economy minded couples or couples needing 5-6 hours of coverage…nothing elaborate just coverage of the ceremony, some formals and either getting ready or a couple of hours of the reception. This option does not include engagement sessions or rehearsal attendance. After the wedding you will receive a DVD of up to 1000 color corrected and processed images.

Price- coverage begins at $1500 for a minimum of 5 hours.

Documentary

The documentary approach tells a story by capturing  what is happening with little or no direction or embellishment. What direction that does occur reflects our earlier discussion regarding your story and how you want it documented. For Weddings group pictures are spontaneous & not planned or directed.  For families  it might look like an afternoon in the backyard, or at a park… someplace you have decided has meaning to you and your family.

Generally, but not always, documentary stories are told in black and white because the subject of the story can be better isolated with out the distraction that color adds. Photos from a documentary story are best used in books, in multimedia slide shows or hung together in groups through out a home.

What do you get?

  • Choice of 1 hour engagement session or 1 hour getting ready
  • Ceremony coverage
  • Up to 1 hour of Informal family and wedding party group photos
  • Up to 1 hour of alone time together before or after the ceremony
  • 2 hours of reception coverage
  • 2 hours of post wedding editing
  • All edited images delivered at full resolution
  • 2 months of on-line image ordering

Price- coverage begins at $2500 for up to 6 hours.


Fine Art

Add some feeling to the facts. Our fine art approach takes the basic frame of the documentary and adds direction, creative composition and stylistic interpretation. This style offers more creative freedom for us and our clients and includes a planning component in the collaboration. Planning can be simple to permit spontaneity or more complex aimed at producing a certain look or feel in the final results.

Because fine art stories emphasize creativity they may be told and interpreted in any manner of approaches. This creative style also adds another level of depth to the story that often results in a linear telling which includes smaller stories revealed in each photo within the larger collection. More interpretive techniques are also available with this style, they could include, film, infrared processing, unusual locations etc.

  • Choice of 2 hour engagement session or 1 hour getting ready
  • Ceremony coverage
  • Up to 1 hour of  family and wedding party group photos
  • Up to 1 hour of alone time together before or after the ceremony
  • 2 hours of reception coverage
  • 2 hours of post wedding editing
  • All edited images delivered at full resolution
  • 90 days of on-line image ordering

Price- coverage begins at $3000 for up to 8 hours.


Customizing

Customizing involves selecting one or some combination of style approaches combined with any combination of additional services and products to round out a fully unique package. When we meet we will talk about our current collection of additional services and products.

Custom options currently include an on site photo booth for wedding receptions and other similar events, a post wedding “love the dress session”, a family album or wall collection, specially designed senior cards.

We have a wide variety of options available from guest books to extra engagement sessions to custom albums don’t forget to ask about them when we meet.
