On the 22nd we traveled to southern Minnesota to photograph Lucas for his senior photos. Lucas is our nephew and the son of Marsha’s late sister, Kaye. Kaye died suddenly in October from complications of lung cancer. Our session with Lucas was a gift in rememberance of his mother. He wanted the images to appear grungy and dark so we did our best to give him what he wanted. Here are some highlights:

A couple of months ago I began working with an amazing young muscian/song writer. I have been wanting to do more work with musicians and coincidentally found Alison through a friend. She had her first CD release party in mid November and I invited another good friend and excellent photographer to join me in covering the party. Alison was accompanied by a wide selection of well know local and national artists to help her kick off her next step as a gifted singer/songwriter. Tommy Barbarella Princes former keyboardist and writer/musician/producer Kevin Bowe. Here are some highlights and a

We liked the Mill district so much we returned the day after shooting Scott and Rachel to do another session with Mike and Kerriann. The only difference was the weather, the prevous day was overcast while the Sunday we worked with Mike and Kerriann was bright blue sky. Here are some highlights:

We Spent a Saturday with Scott and Rachel wandering the Mill district of Minneapolis and the new Gutherie theater….we found our new favorite location for shoots!!! The juxtaposition of the ultramodern architecture of the new Guthery adjacent to the ruins of the old Gold Medal mills makes for a very rich shooting environment. The Guthery kindly allowed us to shoot in their spaces which was an unexpected benefit.
Here are some highlights of the shoot.
