We had the pleasure to photograph Nate and Dana’s wedding on the last day of September, against the background of a glorious indian summer day. We did their engagement session almost a year ago on the campus where they hung out in their early dating days. Here are some highlights:
The photo above is what we have come to call the “wedding dress dive” because the bride literally has to dive into her dress with the generous help of her attendents. The ritual has come to represent for us the beginning of her transformation from single woman to married woman. It is unfortunate that the groom’s by and large do not have a similar ritual.
The next two photos represent a new and creative twist on the reception toast!! Instead of the clanging glasses used to trigger a newly wed kiss, Nate and Dana called the names of significant couples in their lives and that couple was challenged to show their passion for each other through a kiss which Nate and Dana would then copy. It was a lot of fun watching what people came up with.
