Photography for me is not only a great documentary tool it is also an artistic tool. When capturing images I not only pay attention to composition etc for the image alone I also approach each image for its potential for further creative expression. For this reason I will cross process film, or shoot infra-red or use other tools to give me a creative starting point.
One of those tools I have been using for the past year is called a Lensbaby. Created by another photographer who was trying to find an on camera way to duplicate the range of possibilities available with tilt-shift lenses and pin-hole/holga cameras. It is a lens with a bellows that allows flexibility in moving the focus point any where in the picture plane. Here are some of the results from playing with this tool.
