Due to popular demand we have decided to include our 40 page custom designed guest book as a standard item for all of our coverage. The guest book is designed by me using the photos taken during the engagements session. Clients have the option to select their favorite images on line and I make every effort to include all of them in my design. I design each book to reflect out client’s style and personality as well as the location of the shoot, which is usually some place very special to each client.

I design the book to have lots of space for guests to write notes to the Bride and Groom, by using a combination of open page space and screened images. The guest book also gives wedding guests a chance to see more pictures of the Bride and Groom. the books are hard bound and printed on archieval paper and (barring a dog eating it) will be a true heirloom.

A beautifully sunny and cool day for Dan and Debbie’s wedding day this past Saturday. We began our coverage Thursday night at their rehearsal and continued through Saturday night. They were married in the classic Hamlin United Methodist Church in St. Paul. The church is classic german cathedral architecture with stone arches and a historic pipe organ. The reception was held in Arden Hills at the Ukranian Orthodox Church, another gorgeous building, well designed to human scale.

We shot 2500 (plus or minus) images and I am slowly making my way through them…here is a quick preview with more to follow as I finish processing. Keep checking the Wedding photo album for more.

Ellie Grover’s guest book was just sent to press this morning, I had fun designing it. The couple are getting married on a lake at a resort in Northern Minnesota next month. Ellie had wanted to use a photo booth but was unable to secure one for that date and location so I used the photo booth theme as a basis for their gurst book. Guests will leave messages to the couple in the open space and over the screened photos.

I picked oiur new puppie this morning or should I say fur ball…what a cutie. He is a 7 week old golden retreiver with the greatest personality. Barb Felt of Rolling Oaks was the breeder and the care and love she put into socializing these dogs is unsurpassed in my experience..I have had a lot of dogs.

The ride home was uneventful he slept the entire way, a two hour drive from Litchfield MN. I introduced him to the back yard and after attending to his duties he proceeded to explore with great enthusiasum. right now he is sleeping beside me in his crate havein doggie dreams. Here he is saying good bye to his mom.

Our breeder has been working hard socializing 20+ Golden retreiver puppies. She takes great care in exposing the puppies to humans through visits to nursing homes and senior housing in addition to the constant stream of neighbor kids who can’t resist these little fur balls. She has kept us to date with daily e-mails and photos of the litter’s progress towaard seperation from their moms. Here are a few of her pics.

This last saturday we spent the evening photographing Marissa and Ben one of our couples who will be tying the knot the end of October. We started at St. Anthony Main using the river as a backdrop and ended the session at their favorit spot, Prospect park in Minneapolis. Prospect park is a national historic site and the highest point in Minneiapolis offering a magnificent panorama of the city and a great spot for sunsets.

We finally took the plunge after out dear old yellow lab left us in Feburaury. We decided on a Golden Retiever pup from Rolling Acres in Litchfield. The pups were adorable and the moms and dad were such great dogs we are really looking forward to picking ours up in a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to the company during the day as I work editing photos and as a tool to help me get out and walk like I used to.

Tonight is the first evening performance for Circus Juventas. I was able to photograph their rehearsals and will be covering their performances as well. I was amazed to see how everything came together, the kids knew intuitively what to do.

We are adding a referral program for all of our clients. The program is designed to reward those clients who refer new clients to us.

Here is how it will work:
1. All referrals must come from an existing client.
2. A referral resulting in an interview gives that client a $50.00 credit.
3. A referral resulting in a new client gives the referring client a $100.00 credit.

Credits may be applied to Albums, art prints, art books, or guest books. They may not be applied to on line print purchases.
